Pharmaceutical Technician

Pharmaceutical technicians produce medicines. They operate, maintain and service the equipment and the machinery for the production of granules, tablets and coated tablets, ointments, pastes and creams, juices and other liquids. They pack and store the products according to special hygienic instructions, often in a sterile environment. They weigh and measure the pre-products and control the equipment, which work automatically in many cases. They are trained in pharmacology and they acquire technical knowledge. Accuracy and quality control are indispensable. Electronic devices help to stick to the rules and requirements. Pharmaceutical technicians act when deviations and breakdowns occur.
