Usual duration of training: 3 years

Goods not only have to be produced, they also have to be sold. For the production the industry needs a variety of materials, raw materials, machinery and manpower. The resources are purchased, ordered and administered. The finished products are promoted and sold and the market is secured. This includes planning and controlling production, filling customer orders, cost accounting, costing, financial accounting, billing and debt collection, distribution and shipping, human resources and cost accounting. Depending on their particular area of responsibility an industrial clerk negotiates with customers, banks, advertising professionals, agents, agencies, wholesalers and retailers. In large companies they specialize in one subject area, in smaller companies they have to take a variety of tasks.
